Great to meet you!

I specialize in supporting individuals facing severe mental illness, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and mood dysregulation. I provide psychodynamic therapy for teens and adults. I am deeply attuned to the intersections of race, identity, and mental health, creating a safe, affirming space for healing. Together, we’ll explore how past experiences and unconscious patterns shape thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while building greater self-awareness and healthier ways of coping. My goal is to create a supportive, culturally aware space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to “Live Your Life” with purpose, confidence, and peace of mind.

My approach to therapy

Using a psychodynamic approach, we will explore how past experiences, early relationships, and unconscious patterns may be influencing your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships today. By gaining a deeper understanding of these underlying dynamics, we can begin to identify patterns that may no longer be serving you and create opportunities for meaningful change.

Together, we will work to increase self-awareness, develop healthier coping strategies, and strengthen your ability to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and resilience. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, improve your relationships, and build the tools needed to support lasting growth, emotional well-being, and healing.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free space where you are encouraged to show up exactly as you are. My priority is helping you feel comfortable, heard, and understood while we begin building a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, authenticity, and compassion.

We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, the challenges you may be facing, and the goals you hope to achieve. I also take time to understand your personal experiences, relationships, cultural background, strengths, and the patterns that may be impacting your emotional well-being.

As both a therapist, musician, and family man, I value connection, creativity, balance, and the importance of having spaces where people can express themselves freely. My love for music and family deeply influences the way I show up in therapy—with patience, empathy, openness, and respect for each person’s unique story and rhythm in life.
