Great to meet you!

As a first-generation graduate, my path into mental health was shaped by learning to advocate for myself and overcome barriers early in life. I’ve worked with adults with disabilities, teens in counseling, and children and families navigating medical procedures and trauma in a hospital setting. As a former military spouse and parent of neurodivergent children, I bring empathy, lived experience, and a deep understanding of life transitions to my work. I specialize in trauma-informed, evidence-based care and am currently pursuing certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), with a particular passion for working with teens and young adults. I offer a collaborative, strengths-based approach and provide a free consultation to ensure we’re a good fit.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, strengths-based, and grounded in trauma-informed care. I primarily use evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and am working toward certification in Trauma-Focused CBT, while tailoring sessions to each client’s unique needs and goals. I take an interactive, hands-on style and often incorporate creative or expressive activities when helpful, especially with teens and young adults. I believe in creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, empowered, and equipped with practical tools they can use outside of session.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive environment focused on helping you feel comfortable and heard. I’ll already have reviewed your intake form, so we can spend time discussing your goals, strengths, and what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we’ll begin identifying priorities and outline initial goals that feel realistic and meaningful to you. My aim is for you to leave the first session feeling understood, supported, and clear about the next steps in our work together.
