Claudette Ponton

I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I currently see patients in Texas and Washington. I have over 10 years of experience in mental health. I adhere to recommendations based on evidence, including clinical expertise and first hand observations. I specialize in the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety, psychotic disorders, PTSD, insomnia, and chronic mental illness through psychiatric assessment, medication management, and brief psychotherapeutic intervention for clients ages 18-65.

I use a client centered approached supported by evidence based practice to achieve care. I will make an effort to cultivate self awareness and mindfulness during our sessions. My approach to care involved educating patients and their families about health and well-being by making use of available community resources.

I want to make sure each client I encounter feels heard as we work towards a common goal tailored to the client needs. We will discuss client's treatment goals and any preferences or concerns they may have regarding medication management.
