Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Claudia, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in San Diego, California. I offer therapy to clients throughout the state via secure telehealth services. I work with individuals and couples and am passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful change.

I specialize in working with issues such as depression, anxiety and stress, self-esteem, women's issues, communication and intimacy struggles, life transitions, acculturation, trauma, and college-related stress. I have extensive experience supporting clients through complex emotional experiences and helping them build healthier relationships with themselves and others. I am also bilingual and provide services in both English and Spanish, which allows me to connect deeply with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

As someone who understands the complexities of balancing multiple cultural identities and life roles, I bring empathy, authenticity, and curiosity into the therapeutic space. I believe in creating a warm, non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard and empowered to explore their goals and values. My approach is collaborative, integrative, and tailored to your unique needs.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by stress, navigating a relationship challenge, or seeking deeper personal growth, I am here to support you every step of the way.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is integrative and client-centered, which means I tailor our work together based on your unique needs, strengths, and goals. I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities to best support you, always placing the therapeutic relationship at the heart of our work. I believe that meaningful change begins with feeling truly seen, heard, and understood.

I strive to create a safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions openly. My role is to walk alongside you with empathy and compassion, while also helping you develop practical coping skills and deeper insight to navigate life’s challenges.

Whether you are facing a difficult transition, managing anxiety or depression, healing from trauma, or simply feeling stuck, I view therapy as a collaborative process. Together, we will identify what’s getting in the way of the life you want and work toward healing, growth, and greater self-awareness.

What you can expect from our first session

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know one another and creating a comfortable, supportive space where you feel heard and understood. We’ll spend time exploring what’s been going on in your life recently—what’s bringing you to therapy, how you’ve been feeling, and what you hope to get out of our work together. This initial conversation helps lay the foundation for a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, openness, and mutual respect.

As we move forward, our sessions will be collaborative and tailored to your unique needs and goals. Together, we’ll identify the areas you’d like to work on and develop clear treatment goals. I’ll support you in tracking your progress and adjusting our approach as needed to ensure that therapy continues to feel meaningful and helpful to you.

Clients often leave sessions with greater clarity, emotional insight, and practical tools they can use in everyday life. Whether we’re working through anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, or deeper emotional wounds, my goal is to help you feel empowered, supported, and more connected to yourself and others.
