Great to meet you!

I am an Illinois based Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) as well as Colorado based Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC). I work best with clients in their teens up to clients in their 80's and everyone in between. I utilize practices from ACT, DBT, CBT, EMDR and MI . I have worked with clients struggling with substance use or abuse, trauma, anxiety, depression, identity challenges, stress, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, grief, bullying, anger, impulsivity and more.

My approach to therapy

What I have come to find, is we all have certain parts of ourselves that fit into those discounted parts of society. I enjoy getting to work with people to process through those parts of ourselves we hide or shame with acceptance, kindness, and curiosity. Whether it is anxiety, trauma, addiction, or even just navigating life in this difficult world we find ourselves in.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, you can expect to review intake paperwork and policies. Following this, I will begin an assessment that aims to get to know you, your history, and what is bringing you into the therapy space. I create an open and transparent environment where you are encouraged to ask me any questions that may support you in your process. I also focus on informed consent, and encourage you to set boundaries around topics you may not feel comfortable explaining or exploring during the first session.
