Great to meet you!

I am dedicated in creating a space for clients to be fully themselves and believe that authenticity and connection are the foundation for creating a trusting therapeutic relationship. Together, we will work on identifying and understanding your personal struggles, how they link to your previous experiences, increase understanding to your own emotions, and identify past and present triggers that are contributing to your distress.

I attended University of Houston and received my Bacherlor of Arts in Psychology in 2017, and went on to graduate with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in 2020. Throughout internship and being an associate, I gained experience in trauma work, play therapy, and EMDR in order to specifically walk with clients of all ages in trauma processing.

Despite the heat in Texas, I love to hike, kayak, and explore outdoors whenever I get the chance. My favorite indoor decompress activities are losing myself in books and music.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in attachment theory and somatic practices, focusing on the deep connection between your mind and body, helping you to gently release the hold that trauma has had over you. Through a Trauma-Informed lens and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I’ll walk with you step-by-step. Together, we can gently explore the layers of stress and pain, helping you move forward with renewed clarity and confidence in yourself. I have training and experience in TF-CBT (Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Play Therapy, Attachment Therapy, EMDR, and sand tray therapy; as well as working extensively with adults, teens, and kids in developing skills for emotional regulation and trauma processing in the adoptive/foster care community.

What you can expect from me

I aim for you to feel completely comfortable to be yourself and walk away with a sense of relief and accomplishment from the work we will do together. We'll work on identifying the patterns and thoughts in your life that are causing you to feel stuck and set realistic goals to help you move forward.
