Great to meet you!

Hi there! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a dual academic background, holding a Master of Social Work from Florida Atlantic University and a Master of Arts in International Psychology. My clinical foundation is built on years of experience in treatment settings, specializing in trauma, anxiety, ADHD, and identity work for adults across the lifespan. As a Dominican Mexican American, I provide care that is culturally informed, and mindful of each individual's unique "location of self." I am someone who is intentional and assertive. I remain deeply committed to providing a kind, and safe space for your growth.

My approach to therapy

My practice, Salt and Mango Therapy, utilizes a trauma-based approach viewed through a polyvagal lens, prioritizing the nourishment of our nervous systems. I am trained in EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Yoga, and the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), which I integrate with CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic theory. As I often share with my clients, I view our work together through a collaborative lens: I am the GPS providing direction while you are the driver in control of the journey. This approach ensures we are working toward your specific goals while navigating the "salty" or difficult parts of life to find the fruit on the other side.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an exploratory space where I gather information through the lenses of curiosity and compassion to understand your history and needs. This is a collaborative experience- while you are determining if my style and personality feel like a good fit for you, I am assessing how to meet your needs and ensure I can hold the proper space for your healing. We will begin to dissect the "yet-unmet" outcomes you are seeking and discuss how my clinical training can best support you. You can expect to work with someone who values the human to human connection, and honors the intentionality and awareness you have already shown by starting this process.
