I am a bilingual therapist licensed in the state of Florida. I graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and the University of South Florida with a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling. I additionally obtained certifications as a Marriage and Family Therapist and a Rehabilitation Counselor. I have extensive experience working in a psychiatric hospital and in private practice.
I specialize in helping families, couples, and individuals with constructing healthier relationships, gaining self-esteem, working through difficulties attributed to abuse and/or trauma and challenging transitions that life presents. The main therapeutic approach I utilize in sessions is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but also combine other approaches based on the clients needs, such as existential therapy, brief solution focused therapy and gestalt therapy.
Individuals and families will gain life long coping mechanisms to manage various aspects of life. They will be able to process any issues they are experiencing and have the opportunity to talk in a safe space free of judgment and criticism. Clients will additionally acquire communication skills that will assist them with building closer bonds with their significant others.
