Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with experience providing psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and medication management in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Since March 2025, I have worked in an acute inpatient psychiatric unit caring for individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions, including schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, and other complex psychiatric illnesses. I also provide outpatient psychiatric care for adolescents and adults with various mental health concerns.

I earned my Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health and am committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care. My goal is to create a supportive, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and involved in their treatment decisions.

My primary focus is medication management for conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, and other psychiatric disorders. While I do not provide psychotherapy, I recognize the importance of a comprehensive treatment approach and collaborate with therapists and other healthcare professionals when appropriate. I routinely refer clients for specialized therapy services, including trauma-focused therapy, PTSD treatment, grief counseling, and other evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support their overall mental health and well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I believe that effective mental health treatment begins with understanding each client's unique experiences, symptoms, strengths, and goals. I work closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that are based on current evidence and tailored to their specific needs.

I emphasize open communication, education, and shared decision-making, ensuring that clients understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and medications. My goal is to help clients achieve symptom stability, improve daily functioning, and enhance their overall quality of life. I strive to provide care that is respectful, culturally sensitive, and focused on long-term wellness.

What you can expect from me

During the first appointment, clients can expect a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. We will discuss your current concerns, symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, previous treatments, medications, family history, and personal goals for treatment. This assessment helps me gain a complete understanding of your mental health needs and develop an appropriate treatment plan.

At the end of the session, we will review diagnostic impressions, discuss treatment recommendations, and determine whether medication management may be beneficial. Clients will have the opportunity to ask questions, express concerns, and actively participate in treatment decisions. My goal is to ensure that you leave the appointment feeling informed, supported, and confident about the next steps in your care.
