Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Clayton! I have worked in the mental health field since 2019 and have experience in residential, acute inpatient, and outpatient settings. I hold a Bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Missouri - Columbia, as well a Master's degree in counseling from the University of Missouri - Kansas City. I am formally trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and I enjoy incorporating attachment theory and Jungian psychology where appropriate.

A bit about my approach to therapy

While I work primarily with adults these days, I have years of experience treating adults, teens, and children in residential, inpatient, and outpatient settings. I draw from education, training, and first-hand experience to create a therapeutic space in which clients can safely engage with fears and insecurities to promote healing and rich interior lives.

What you can expect from our first session

At the start of our therapeutic relationship, I simply aim to understand what led you to seek therapy and how I may be able to help. Sessions typically begin on a weekly basis and can become less frequent with time. As treatment progresses, you can expect to gain insight into the persistence, prevalence, and potential origins of your struggles. We can then collaborate on any changes you wish to make in your life.
