I have spent the last several decades here in Austin working in direct service mostly in residential settings and primarily with youth 'ageing out' of the foster care system and have spent my entire career working with the youth and young adults we now call 'transition aged youth'.
I provide primarily 'brief, strengths based, solution focused therapy' to individuals, couples and families with a focus on teenagers and 'transition aged youth. I am inclined to quickly identify the challenge, explore the origins of that challenge as necessary and move to a strategy to overcome that challenge and move forward from there.
My goal is to help clients feel and be more empowered, competent and hopeful.
