Great to meet you!

You may be trying to cope with the emotional aftermath of cancer, chronic illness, ICU stays, surgeries, or other life-threatening medical experiences. Many times, people feel blindsided by symptoms like fear of recurrence, scan-related anxiety, hypervigilance, grief, or anger. Some people feel like they aren't the same person anymore and struggle with making sense of their lives now. Medical trauma is real and can be treated. Depression, anxiety, and trauma symptoms often can be eased with medication and psychotherapy.

As both a clinician and a two-time breast cancer survivor, I understand how medical trauma impacts identity, relationships, and daily life. My goal is to provide a space where you feel believed, supported, and equipped with evidence-based care and genuine understanding.

I have 15 years of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and have completed training in Xavier University's Medical Trauma Certificate Program.

My approach to therapy

I offer trauma-informed psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and prescribe mental health medications. Though I only offer medication management, I work closely with therapists and other members of your treatment team to provide interdisciplinary care. My approach to treatment is unhurried, collaborative, and grounded in shared decision-making.

What you can expect from me

I believe in taking time with my patients—initial appointments are 90 minutes, and follow-ups are 30 minutes—so you never feel rushed. We will discuss your symptoms and determine whether medication is appropriate for you. You will follow up with me depending on your response to the medication. Research shows that people who have medication and therapy combined have the best results.
