Great to meet you!

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable, and self-aware—but still feel stuck when it comes to creating meaningful change. You may understand what’s happening on some level, yet feel unsure how to move forward or break patterns that keep repeating in your life or relationships.

That’s where I can help.

With over 40 years of experience as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor, I bring both depth and perspective to my work. In addition to private practice, I’ve served as a clinical director and executive director in inpatient treatment settings, which allows me to quickly recognize patterns while still providing a warm, nonjudgmental space.

Clients often tell me they feel comfortable talking with me and appreciate that I’m both supportive and practical. My goal is not just to help you understand yourself—but to help you move forward in a way that feels manageable and real.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on turning insight into meaningful, lasting change.

Many clients come in already having some awareness of what’s going on, but feel stuck when it comes to taking the next step. I help you deepen that understanding while also guiding you toward practical, manageable actions that create real movement in your life.

I work with both individuals and couples, helping to identify patterns in thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships. From there, we focus on improving communication, building healthier responses, and creating change that feels sustainable—not overwhelming.

I also offer EMDR when appropriate to help process past experiences that may be impacting your current functioning.

We move at a pace that feels supportive and realistic, with a focus on progress—not perfection.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other in a comfortable, low-pressure way.

We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’d like to see change, and any concerns or questions you may have about therapy. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start—many people come in feeling unsure or overwhelmed, and that’s completely okay.

My goal is to help you feel at ease and understood from the beginning. We’ll start identifying patterns, concerns, and goals, and begin to outline a direction that feels helpful and manageable.

Whether you’re coming in as an individual or as a couple, the first session is about creating a sense of clarity, comfort, and a path forward.
