Great to meet you!

Welcome! I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from West Virginia University and more than 20 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and transitions. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with children and families involved in the foster care system, survivors of domestic violence, older adults, those battling addiction, veterans, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. I am especially passionate about helping people heal from trauma and PTSD, creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can process difficult experiences and build resilience. If you are looking for a therapist who combines extensive experience with genuine compassion, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing, growth, and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

I am a listener. I’m processing your verbal and nonverbal cues in therapy to mirror things that you may not know about yourself or things you would like to change or enhance. I use parts work from Internal Family Systems to help educate therapy participants on various behaviors, thought or feelings that we harbor that contribute to our own individual way of understanding and interacting with the world around us. Actions speak louder than words and I’ve had a lifetime worth of seeing great change as the result of individuals changing unhealthy behavior.

What you can expect from me

You can expect a safe place to be who you are, learn a little about me, tell me your therapy expectations, and honest feedback from me as to whether I can meet those expectations. This is a time to reflect on whether you feel that I am a good fit for you as well.
