Great to meet you!

I specialize in adolescent and adult psychiatry, treating a broad spectrum of mental health conditions. My clinical focus includes anxiety disorders, PTSD, OCD, panic disorder, major depressive disorder, Bipolar I and II disorders, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder. I provide comprehensive, evidence-based, and patient-centered care tailored to each individual’s unique needs.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and grounded in psychological safety. I strive to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel seen, heard, and respected. Treatment planning is collaborative and individualized, incorporating evidence-based psychopharmacology and supportive interventions tailored to each person’s lived experience, identity, and goals.

Here are some of the therapeutic approaches I incorporate into treatment and what your experience in sessions may include: I utilize behavioral-based therapies such as behavior modification therapy, behavioral therapy, and behavioral activation. These approaches focus on identifying patterns in thoughts and behaviors that may contribute to emotional distress and then developing practical strategies to create meaningful change.

During sessions, we may work together to identify behaviors that affect mood, motivation, and daily functioning. Treatment often includes setting realistic goals, building healthier coping strategies, and gradually increasing engagement in activities that support improved mood and overall well-being. The goal is to help you develop skills that promote lasting change and empower you to manage challenges more effectively in your daily life.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment. I am direct and straightforward in my communication, ensuring clarity about diagnosis, treatment options, and next steps. My goal is to establish trust while creating a collaborative and transparent treatment plan from the very beginning. I believe clarity fosters trust, so we will openly discuss symptoms, diagnostic impressions, and treatment options while collaboratively developing a personalized, evidence-based plan for care.
