Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who works with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, identity exploration, and difficult life transitions. I also have experience working with adolescents and understand the unique emotional, relational, and developmental challenges that can come during those years.

I believe therapy works best when people feel genuinely safe, understood, and respected. My goal is to create a space where clients can show up honestly without fear of judgment. I know that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable or vulnerable, especially for people who are used to carrying things on their own, and I take seriously the trust it takes to open up to another person.

I am an LGBTQ-affirming clinician and believe deeply in creating a supportive and inclusive environment where clients can explore their experiences authentically. I approach therapy with compassion, curiosity, and respect for each person’s individual story and lived experience.

Much of my work centers around helping people who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck, emotionally exhausted, or unsure how to move forward. Whether someone is navigating addiction, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship struggles, or major life stressors, I aim to help them feel less alone while working toward meaningful and lasting change.

Above all, I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is one of the most important parts of the healing process. Research consistently shows that a strong connection between therapist and client is one of the strongest predictors of success in therapy. Because of that, I place a high value on building a relationship grounded in trust, honesty, collaboration, and authenticity.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is person-centered, humanistic, and relational. I see therapy as more than simply reducing symptoms — it is a process of understanding yourself more deeply, strengthening relationships, developing healthier patterns, and creating a life that feels more meaningful and connected.

I believe people already possess strengths, resilience, and the capacity for growth, even during periods of pain, addiction, grief, anxiety, or uncertainty. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I work collaboratively with clients to understand their goals, challenges, and what they need most from the therapeutic process.

In our work together, I strive to balance support with honesty and compassion with accountability. I want therapy to feel genuine and human — a space where clients can explore difficult emotions, challenge long-standing patterns, and feel supported while doing so.

My style is warm, conversational, and engaged. I value authenticity in the therapy room and believe meaningful change often begins when people feel safe enough to be fully honest about their experiences.

What you can expect from me

The first session is usually a conversation focused on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. We will talk about what has been difficult recently, what stressors or challenges you are facing, what supports you currently have, and what you hope to gain from therapy.

There is no pressure to tell your entire story immediately or to have everything figured out. I approach early sessions with curiosity and collaboration rather than judgment or pressure. My goal is to help you feel comfortable enough to speak openly and honestly at your own pace.

Many clients tell me they appreciate having a space where they can talk openly without feeling analyzed, rushed, or judged. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can be fully yourself while also being supported and challenged in ways that help you grow.

Over time, therapy can become a place not only for problem-solving, but also for healing, self-understanding, connection, and building a more fulfilling life.

You do not have to navigate things alone.
