I earned my M.D. from St. George's University School of Medicine. After an Internship in Internal Medicine at The Methodist Hospital, Brooklyn, I completed Psychiatry Residency at SUNY-Downstate. Currently, I'm Chair of Psychiatry at Nassau University Medical Center. I hold certifications in Jungian Psychotherapy, Meaning-Centered Psychotherapy, Guided Imagery.

My approach integrates evidence-based psychopharmacology with a deep understanding of psychological dynamics, ensuring treatment aligns with each person’s unique story and goals.
Medication can be offered as a stand-alone service or in combination with psychotherapy. I emphasize collaboration, education, and ongoing reassessment—helping patients make informed choices about their treatment and supporting their progress toward lasting stability and growth.
Your first appointment focuses on understanding you as a whole person. During this session, I conduct a comprehensive diagnostic interview and biopsychosocial assessment—exploring biological, psychological, and social factors that contribute to your current concerns.
We will review your symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, previous treatments, and current stressors or supports. This process allows us to develop a personalized treatment plan, which may include medication options, psychotherapy, or an integrated approach.
