Great to meet you!

I have completed a master’s degree in counseling. I am bilingual and bicultural. And have worked with a diverse population of clients. My training is in diverse areas including EMDR, CAMS (Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality), BCBT for suicide prevention, and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy). My passion is to help individuals become the best version of themselves, by helping them navigate the crisis in their life, which serves as a baseline for personal growth.

My approach to therapy

Therapy is a collaboration between the counselor and the client. This process requires you to be open about your feelings and experiences. Therapy is one of those things that you get out of, what you put in. It is recommended you follow up with the assignments provided during the session. They provide additional resources to impact change in your life. You most likely will see a change if you are willing to trust the process. The approaches used depend on your needs and types of issues.

What you can expect from me

The backbone of therapy is a foundation of safety and working alliance. For a person to feel comfortable sharing their feelings, needs to feel safe and trust the therapist. Therefore, great emphasis is put on developing these foundations.
