Great to meet you!

I work with people who want to build more self-confidence and a clearer sense of identity, but struggle with barriers like anxious overthinking, people-pleasing, past trauma, or overwhelming responsibilities. I have specialized training and lived experience of supporting immigrants or children of immigrants--I understand that these populations can have unique needs, like exhaustion from having to be the "strong one" to meet high expectations, and feeling misunderstood by loved ones because of cultural or generational differences.

My approach to therapy

My style is both warm and direct, as I believe progress in therapy happens through a combination of compassionate validation and direct feedback/guidance. Because many of my past roles involved providing crisis support and trauma recovery, I'm very comfortable with helping you navigate heavy emotions at a pace that feels right for you. I'm known for being mindful of your context--how your family life, culture, society, and other systems impact your mental health--and am also trained in neurofeedback, which integrates care for your nervous system.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will be a soft landing into our work together, where you can share more about your background and what brings you to therapy. After this assessment session, we'll start to dive deeper into themes that help you build more self-confidence and self-trust. This may be setting healthier boundaries or making decisions that reflect your values, without losing connection to those you love. Or it may be learning how to find balance in the face of overwhelm or uncertainty. Or, finding ways to confidently navigate cross-cultural relationships or building a sense of belonging. If these are goals you're hoping to achieve, please reach out for a consultation!
