Great to meet you!

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and one of my priorities is creating a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported from the very beginning. I bring over 15 years of experience in social work across both hospital and outpatient mental health settings, which allows me to support clients through a wide range of emotional and life challenges with compassion and practical insight.

I earned my Master of Social Work and am currently completing my Doctorate in Social Work, with a focus on evidence-based and trauma-informed care. Throughout my career, I have worked with teens, adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship stress, life transitions, and self-esteem concerns. I have a particular passion for helping individuals who feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns they want to change.

My approach is collaborative and strengths-based. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine partnership, where you feel heard and actively involved in your growth. Together, we focus on building practical tools, increasing self-understanding, and creating meaningful, sustainable change.

For clients who meet with me in person, I practice within a wellness-oriented setting that also offers optional recovery services after sessions. Some clients find that supporting both emotional and physical stress responses can enhance overall well-being, though these services are entirely optional and separate from therapy.

You don’t have to carry everything on your own. Therapy can be a place to find relief, clarity, and renewed confidence as you move forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and practical. I work from a trauma-informed and strengths-based perspective, meaning we focus not only on what’s difficult right now, but also on your resilience, abilities, and capacity for change.

I integrate evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused strategies, and emotional regulation skills to help you better understand patterns, manage stress, and respond to challenges in healthier ways. Many clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves, and together we work to build clarity, confidence, and effective coping tools.

Whether we meet in person or online, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely heard. Therapy with me is an active partnership — we move at your pace while working toward meaningful, lasting change in your daily life, relationships, and overall well-being.

I also recognize that stress and emotional experiences often affect the body as well as the mind, so when helpful, we may incorporate awareness and regulation strategies that support whole-person wellness.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, trusting foundation. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope might feel different or better in your life. There’s no pressure to share everything at once you’re welcome to move at a pace that feels right for you.

I’ll ask some questions to understand your history, current stressors, and goals, and you’ll also have space to ask questions about therapy or my approach. Many clients find the first session helpful simply to feel heard and understood without judgment.

Whether we meet in person or online, my goal is for you to leave the first session feeling supported, clearer about next steps, and reassured that you don’t have to navigate things alone. If it feels like a good fit, we’ll begin identifying goals and a plan for our work together.
