Great to meet you!

Welcome! My name is Cordette Vanzant, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) based in Florida. I bring a compassionate, client-centered approach to mental health care, grounded in evidence-based practices and a deep respect for each person's unique story.

My educational background includes a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I have specialized training in trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and solution-focused therapy. I have worked in a variety of settings—including mobile crisis units, outpatient services, and community mental health—providing support to individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, identity issues, and life transitions.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I believe that therapy should be a collaborative, empowering experience where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. My approach is integrative, blending CBT, mindfulness-based strategies, person-centered therapy, and strengths-based counseling to meet each client’s specific needs.

I create a warm, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns without fear. My style is compassionate but direct—I will walk with you through your challenges while also encouraging growth and accountability. Whether we are unpacking trauma, navigating relationships, or working on self-esteem, my goal is to help you access your inner resilience and build the life you envision.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients often leave sessions feeling more grounded, self-aware, and empowered to make meaningful changes. You can expect to gain practical tools for managing emotions, improving relationships, and coping with stress, as well as deeper insights into your behavior and motivations.

I strive to create a therapeutic environment that is safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive—one where healing and transformation can truly begin. My goal is not only to help you feel better but to help you become better equipped to handle life’s complexities with clarity and confidence.
