Great to meet you!

Corey Bussiere (LMHC and LMFT) is highly experienced in working with clients with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). He has experience being trained by specialists and working in an intensive outpatient program for teens and adults struggling with more intensive symptoms. Not only does he specialize in working with individuals facing OCD, but also various anxiety concerns, trauma, and complex family dynamics. He has experience working with families seeking healthier communication and connection, as well as, working towards figuring out how to reduce accommodation of compulsive behaviors for their children or partners and figure out how to support their loved ones.

Corey’s extensive experience with OCD subtypes, including contamination, "just right" OCD, magicalthinking, pregnancy/prenatal OCD , hit and run fears, sexual orientation themed OCD, and scrupulosity, allows him to provide highly personalized, effective interventions. His sessions offer a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients are encouraged to explore patterns, uncover challenges, and build tools that promote resilience and long-term well-being. With Corey’s guidance, clients work toward improved self-understanding, coping strategies, and a more balanced, fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

Corey integrates Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in his approach, prioritizing a collaborative and compassionate journey tailored to each client’s needs.

What you can expect from me

In working with Corey, you can expect a collaborative, supportive environment where you are encouraged to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors without judgment. Corey understands that starting therapy can feel challenging, so his goal is to create a safe space where you feel understood and valued from day one. Each session will be tailored to your unique needs, blending practical techniques with open conversation to help you uncover insights and develop skills for lasting change.

Corey often incorporates “homework” between sessions—small, purposeful tasks designed to reinforce progress and build confidence. Therapy with Corey is an active process; together, you’ll work toward understanding the root of your challenges and developing effective strategies to manage them. Expect a balanced mix of evidence-based practices and real-world application, with the goal of empowering you to live with greater ease, self-compassion, and resilience.
