Great to meet you!

I work with adults navigating anxiety and OCD, depression, trauma, life transitions, and stuck patterns that affect relationships and/or sense of self. My background is in both counseling and philosophy, which guides the importance I place on understanding yourself and what is important to you, while grounding that in your everyday experience, and the changes you can make in your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships.

My approach to therapy

In my approach, I seek to balance connection, warmth, and inquiry based work with the skill-focused and more directive approaches of CBT and similar evidence-based therapies. I place a strong emphasis on supporting people in identifying what is important to you and your life, and in making changes in your life that are consistent with those values.

What you can expect from me

A first session with me is primarily focused on information gathering. Though I do not do a full, structured intake assessment, you can expect that I will ask a variety of questions related to your symptoms and history (including any past treatment), as well as trying to understand your goals for working with me and the changes you would like to make. From there we will discuss what a treatment plan will look like.
