Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Corey. Life can get complicated, and sometimes the patterns that once helped us cope begin creating new challenges. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, struggling in your relationships, carrying the weight of past experiences, or finding yourself stuck in habits you can’t seem to break, therapy can be a place to slow down, understand what’s happening, and start making changes that feel possible.

My approach to therapy

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with over a decade of experience in behavioral health and human services. My background includes working with adults, couples, families, and children, with specialized experience in trauma, domestic and sexual violence, substance use, gambling, sex addiction, and other compulsive behaviors. My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and tailored to each individual's needs. Rather than adhering to a single counseling theory, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and other evidence-based approaches. I believe that clients often possess more insight, resilience, and strength than they realize. Therapy is not about being told what to do; it is about gaining a deeper understanding of yourself, identifying what works for you, and building the tools necessary to create meaningful and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Our initial session current concerns, reviewing relevant personal history, and utilizing clinical screening tools when appropriate to better understand any symptoms you may be experiencing. This is an opportunity for you to share your story, ask questions, and begin building a therapeutic relationship founded on trust, understanding, and mutual respect.

I also know that finding time for therapy can be one of the hardest parts of starting. Between work, parenting, and everything else life demands, your schedule matters. I offer virtual sessions seven days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., making it easier to find support at a time that actually works for you.
