Corey Springer

Hi! I'm Corey, owner of Dad Therapist. Since 2019, I have worked with expecting fathers, new dads, NICU parents, and dads who have experienced pregnancy loss, stillbirth, infant loss, and infertility. I'm a NICU dad (2020 and 2025 babies) and have three living sons and one stillborn daughter. One of the things I love most about being the “Dad Therapist” is that I get to work with clients I can deeply relate to. My empathy comes from lived experience, not just my professional training. I am a licensed therapist and Certified Perinatal Mental Health professional.

I don't use a fake therapist voice or pretend like I'm an unrelatable guru. I want to be both professional and personal. I'm ethical but also genuine. I'm emotionally attuned but also know when and how to challenge my clients when they need it. I'm gonna be real with you and expect the same from you, because in the context of postpartum, pregnancy and infant loss, NICU, and infertility, many people (even other therapists) don't have the training or the lived experiences to actually empathize. I have both.

In the beginning, we'll get to know each other and identify what your therapy goals are. Then, we will start working toward those goals. I want you to feel understood, to find relief where you're hurting, to feel confident you can make it through, to have more self-compassion, to build better relationships, and to step into living a life aligned with your core values and goals. Your mental health matters, too, and I'm here to advocate for you.
