Great to meet you!

Sometimes you know you need support, but you may not know exactly how to put what you're feeling into words. You might be carrying stress from work, family, relationships, or past experiences while trying to keep everything moving. Maybe you're feeling anxious, discouraged, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to move forward after something difficult has happened. I work with children, adolescents, teens, and adults from diverse backgrounds who are navigating difficult experiences, trauma, life changes, and emotional challenges. As a counselor in Texas for more than 14 years, my goal is to meet you where you are and help you find a path forward that feels meaningful to you.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, supportive, and strengths-based. I believe you already have strengths and resources within you, even if they can be difficult to recognize when life feels heavy. Using Solution-Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we'll explore the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical strategies you can use in your everyday life. Rather than focusing only on what's wrong, we'll also identify what's working, what you want to change, and the steps that can help you get there.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brought you to counseling. We'll talk about what has been difficult, what you hope will be different, and the goals that matter most to you. You don't need to have everything figured out before we begin. My goal is to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable being honest, understood, and supported as we work together toward meaningful change.
