Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Corine and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I work with adults who have been re-living pain and feeling unable to move past it, feeling intense worry and fear, and those feeling stuck in a negative state of mind. I especially enjoy working with motivated clients who feel as though they’ve been the black sheep in their family and are having a hard time breaking out of generational patterns.

As a Christian woman from West Africa, I bring understanding of how faith, family dynamics, and cultural expectations can all play a role in our mental health, especially when we don’t have a supportive environment to foster growth.

My approach to therapy

I bring a holistic view to therapy. That looks like incorporating mental health with spiritual and physical well-being because all three parts make up the whole (mind, body, soul/spirit). I will also challenge you to think differently and to begin taking action in your life to have different results. I’m not just about talk-therapy, I’m about change-therapy. That being said, expect an accountability partner who will challenge you to grow because she cares.

What you can expect from me

First, we’ll get to know each other, talk about what's going on in your life, what brings you into therapy, and any significant life events. Then we can start mapping out what your ideal self and ideal life actually looks like. By the end of the session, my hope is for you to have a clearer picture of the problem, your specific goal, and what working together would look like.
