Great to meet you!

Greetings! I believe in autonomy; a person's right to choice and self-governance. Sometimes we need help navigating our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to get the outcomes we want. I have over ten years of experience in the world of social work; eight of those as a therapist. All of my various experiences have come together to allow me to assist individuals ages 13 and above with the ill effects of trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy in the same fashion an individual takes with peeling an onion. Layer by layer until we get to the root cause of your symptoms. I structure my sessions in a way that it feels as if you are conversing with a friend despite being in a therapy session. I feel that it’s beneficial to you as my client to create a relaxed, yet fun environment when exploring some of the most intimate details and experiences of your lives.

What you can expect from me

Clients find themselves feeling affirmed, empowered, and heard. Their confidence improves as a result of understanding why they are the way they are and learning ways to cope with or reverse their symptoms. They are also more assertive, as they come to recognize what is a personal distortion for them versus one that is being projected by someone else. Life becomes easier when you no longer take the actions of others personally.
