Great to meet you!

My name is Dr. Cornelia Wenze, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 35 years of experience in the helping profession. I hold a B.S., M.S., and Ed.D. I view therapy as a collaborative, two-way process that requires commitment, intention, and active engagement from both the client and therapist. My therapeutic approach integrates cognitive behavioral and solution-focused strategies to support meaningful change. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and women, and I strive to create a supportive and empowering space for growth and healing.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is non-judgmental, collaborative, and compassionate. I support clients in developing effective coping strategies while navigating life’s challenges with respect and self-compassion. I believe individuals possess the inner capacity to grow, adapt, and create meaningful change, even during adversity. My communication style emphasizes active listening, empathy, and clear, constructive feedback to support understanding and progress.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming and supportive environment focused on comfort and clarity. We will begin with introductions, review what to expect from therapy, and discuss goals to establish a strong foundation for our work together. Clients will have the opportunity to share their story and the challenges they are experiencing at their own pace. My goal is for clients to feel at ease, understood, and confident that they are working with an open-minded and supportive therapist.
