Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, an Air Force veteran, and your go-to therapist if you’re looking for someone real, grounded, and maybe a little corny—but always here to help. I bring a down-to-earth approach to therapy, creating a space where you can drop the mask and just be human. Whether it’s anxiety, trauma, life transitions, or relationship stuff—we’ll tackle it together, one honest conversation at a time. Therapy with me isn’t about perfection—it’s about progress, healing, and yes, the occasional bad joke if it helps you smile.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is real, compassionate, and collaborative. As an Air Force veteran and a Black female therapist, I understand the importance of feeling truly seen and understood—especially in spaces that don’t always reflect your lived experience. I bring that awareness into every session, creating a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment.

I blend evidence-based tools with a down-to-earth, human approach—sometimes that means using humor or the occasional corny joke to ease tension and help you feel comfortable. Whether you're navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, or relationship challenges, we’ll work together to set goals that feel meaningful and manageable to you. Therapy with me is about building trust, finding your voice, and making progress at your own pace.

You don’t have to have it all figured out—just show up. I’ve got you from there.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a mix of the boring-but-important stuff and the beginning of building trust. I’ll go over confidentiality, mandated reporting, and give you a sense of my personality and quirks—so you know exactly what you’re signing up for with me as your therapist.

We’ll also complete a couple of brief assessments (PHQ-9 and GAD-7) to get a snapshot of where you are emotionally. Then we’ll talk about what brings you to therapy—whatever you're ready to share. You don’t have to have everything figured out; just showing up is a great first step.
