Great to meet you!

I'm Corretta Whyte, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an MSW from The Ohio State University College of Social Work and 14 years of experience. I work with adults and seniors across Ohio navigating anxiety, depression, stress, and cultural and ethnic concerns. Many of my clients are carrying more than anyone around them realizes — the pressure to perform, to provide, to be the strong one. My job is to give you a place where you can set that down, be seen fully, and figure out what you actually need.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in two complementary methods. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps us catch and change the thought patterns that keep anxiety, depression, and stress running on a loop. Narrative Therapy goes deeper into the story — because every one of us lives inside one, and some of the stories we carry about ourselves were written by other people. My philosophy: you are not the problem; the problem is the problem. When we separate the two, change gets a lot more possible.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is simply about getting to know you — what brought you in, what you're carrying, and what you'd like to be different. There's no pressure to share everything at once; you set the pace. You'll leave with a clearer sense of what we'll work on together and, I hope, the feeling that you've found a space where you can be fully yourself.
