Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Dr. Corrinne Kalafut, a licensed clinical psychologist and certified school psychologist with over 20 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, executive functioning challenges, ADHD, behavioral concerns, and life transitions. My background in both clinical and educational settings allows me to understand each client within the broader context of their environment. I believe therapy should feel collaborative, supportive, and empowering, helping you gain the tools and insight to navigate challenges with greater confidence and balance.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and evidence-based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I focus on understanding your unique experiences, identifying patterns that may keep you feeling stuck, and developing practical strategies for meaningful change. Sessions are tailored to your needs, balancing emotional support with actionable skills that can be used outside of therapy to reduce distress, improve relationships, and enhance daily functioning.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I strive to create a comfortable and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and understood. We’ll begin by discussing what brings you to therapy, exploring your goals, and identifying what’s been working and what hasn’t. I’ll gather background information to better understand your strengths and challenges, and together we’ll develop an initial plan for moving forward. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling validated, supported, and hopeful about the process ahead.
