Great to meet you!

I am Cortney, I am so glad you are here. Starting therapy is a major step. My main goal is to provide empathy, support, validation and challenge negative thoughts and beliefs in order to elicit change through the development of more positive thoughts and beliefs. This is much easier said than done and I would love to learn more about you and your goals and how I can help.

My approach to therapy

I am a passionate and motivated person centered therapist who pulls from the strengths of relationships to help clients’ develop motivation, and coping skills through the use of person centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. My clinical experience working in group emergency foster care and community based mental health agencies has helped strengthen my passion for helping others develop respectful and caring relationships with each other.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to create a safe space to allow you to explore the path you are currently on and find ways to alleviate any of the barriers limiting your way forward.
