Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Cory Kohm, a mental health therapist who believes in creating a safe, supportive space where you can feel truly seen and heard. My training included seminary in Portland, OR, which equipped me to help people who face the bigger questions of life meaning, death and dying, but also clinical expertise to help people with complex trauma, addiction, spiritual abuse and severe debilitating mental illnesses such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

My approach to therapy

My style is warm, curious, and affirming - I'm here to walk alongside you as we explore what's been weighing on you and what healing might look like.

I work with adults using evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and faith-based counseling (upon request) to help you process challenges, build resilience, and achieve meaningful, lasting change.

I can work together with other specialists when beneficial (your psychiatrist or nurse practitioner) to ensure wholistic care.

What you can expect from me

In our initial session, we get the chance to meet one another - an opportunity for you to see if I'm a good fit and if you feel comfortable working with me. It's a real relationship, but inherently therapeutic and dynamic, and you can begin sharing (at your pace) about the material you want to address in sessions.
