Great to meet you!

Courtney Blashki is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in New York, NY. She specializes in supporting those who have experienced domestic violence and sexual assault, and also has extensive experience working with clients who face immigration stress or challenges with cultural adjustment. Many of her clients struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, loneliness, or feelings of low self-worth.

My approach to therapy

Sessions with Courtney take an integrative approach, pulling the most effective techniques from evidence-based therapy modalities. She practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help clients break out of unhealthy patterns, and also draws from mindfulness therapy and psychodynamic therapy. She can also provide Eye movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Clients benefit from a comprehensive, flexible therapy style that is catered to their unique needs.

Courtney believes that clients are the expert on their own experiences, meeting clients where they are in their lives and working together to facilitate progress. Her guiding principle is that clients are the pilot and she is the co-pilot partnering them along their journey to healing.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session with Courtney to be a collaborative conversation focused on understanding what has brought them to therapy, exploring their current challenges, and identifying what they hope to achieve. She takes time to learn about each client's experiences, strengths, and goals while also answering any questions they may have about the therapeutic process.

Courtney strives to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to share at their own pace. Together, they will begin developing a personalized treatment plan tailored to the client's unique needs. Whether clients are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, or major life transitions, Courtney works alongside them to build insight, strengthen coping skills, and support meaningful, lasting change.
