Great to meet you!

With over 12 years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals, couples, families, and parents as they navigate life’s challenges. Whether working in clinical settings or directly within communities, I’ve always taken a hands-on, compassionate approach to support people through the stressors of everyday life.

My journey into the helping profession began during my undergraduate studies, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with a minor in African American Studies. That passion only deepened as I pursued my Master’s in Social Work, solidifying my commitment to this field and to the healing work I believe I was meant to do.

Over the years, my focus has become more specialized in helping people move through relational stress—whether that’s parenting challenges, family conflict, generational trauma or the emotional impact of separation and divorce. I also have a deep commitment to supporting BIPOC clients, with a particular focus on race-related stress and systemic inequities.

My goal is to create a safe, affirming space where you feel seen, heard, and supported—no matter where you are on your journey.

My approach to therapy

I take a psychodynamic approach, which means we’ll work together to uncover the deeper patterns and experiences that might be affecting your life in ways you don’t always notice. No matter what brings you here, my goal is to create a space that feels warm, collaborative, and free of judgment. You will be held accountable in our work and homework will also be provided to encourage work in between scheduled sessions. In addition, I take a solutions-focused approach so that we are able to measure change and growth in real-time.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy is a brave and important step—and in our first session together, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported. We'll take time to get to know each other and begin building a connection rooted in trust and respect.

During this initial session, I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy, at your own pace. We’ll explore your hopes, concerns, and any goals you might have, while also discussing your background and any relevant life experiences you'd like to share. I take a collaborative, compassionate approach—there’s no pressure to have everything figured out. This is a space for you to be yourself without judgment.

I’ll also walk you through what therapy with me typically looks like, answer any questions you may have, and ensure we’re creating a plan that feels meaningful and manageable for you.

Above all, my priority is that you leave our first session feeling understood, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead.
