Great to meet you!

Life can feel overwhelming, and unfortunately, most of us were not handed an instruction manual for anxiety, stress, relationships, trauma, major life changes, or figuring out why we keep repeating the same patterns. You do not have to navigate those challenges alone.

I have nearly 20 years of experience helping adults build healthier coping skills, improve relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change. My background includes working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, life transitions, family conflict, and co-occurring mental health concerns. Whether you are facing a major life change or just feeling stuck, therapy can provide a supportive space to sort things out.

My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I integrate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy to meet your unique needs. In other words, we will talk about the hard stuff, but we will also focus on practical tools you can actually use outside of session.

Clients often describe me as warm, compassionate, genuine, and easy to talk to. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes at your own pace. Therapy does not have to feel scary or stiff. Sometimes healing includes insight, accountability, coping skills, and occasionally being able to laugh at the absurdity of life.

Whether you are looking to reduce anxiety, improve your relationships, recover from difficult experiences, strengthen your emotional well-being, or maintain recovery from substance use, I am here to support you every step of the way.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable enough to be yourself—no judgment, no pressure to have all the answers, and no need to pretend everything is okay. My approach is collaborative, meaning we'll work together to identify what's getting in the way of the life you want and develop practical strategies to help you move forward.

I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy, but I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every person is different, so I tailor therapy to your unique needs, goals, and experiences.

I strive to balance compassion with honesty. I'll support you through difficult moments, but I'll also gently challenge unhelpful patterns when needed because real growth often happens just outside our comfort zone. My sessions are conversational, down-to-earth, and focused on helping you build skills you can use in everyday life.

I also believe that healing doesn't have to be serious every second. Sometimes a little humor can make even the toughest conversations feel a bit more manageable. If we can laugh together along the way, that's a bonus.

Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, relationship challenges, stress, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to provide a safe space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is really about getting to know each other. We'll spend time talking about what brought you to therapy, what's been going on in your life, and what you hope to get out of our work together. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, relationships, and any previous experiences with therapy—not because I'm trying to interrogate you, but because understanding the bigger picture helps me better support you.

This is also your opportunity to ask questions and decide whether I'm the right fit for you. Finding the right therapist is important, and I want you to feel comfortable being honest about your needs and expectations.

By the end of our first session, we'll begin identifying goals and discussing a plan that feels realistic and meaningful to you. You don't have to tell your entire life story in one appointment, and there's no pressure to have everything figured out before you arrive. Therapy is a process, and we'll take it one step at a time.

Most importantly, you can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you can be yourself. You don't need to worry about saying the "right" thing—there's no therapy pop quiz, I promise. Just show up as you are, and we'll take it from there.
