Great to meet you!
I'm a licensed clinical social worker, but more importantly, I'm a real person who believes that therapy should feel more like a conversation and less like a clinical interview. I tend to work well with people who are used to holding it all together, taking care of everyone else, or pushing through until they realize something needs to change.
My background includes working with veterans and adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, substance use concerns, caregiver stress, and major life transitions. These experiences have shaped my belief that people are much more than a diagnosis or a collection of symptoms.
Personally, I value authenticity and humor, and those show up in my work. I'm not a blank slate therapist, and you wont have to wonder whether theres a real human sitting across from you. I want therapy to be a place where you can show up as you are, even if that means you're overwhelmed, frustrated, unsure what you need, or occasionally need to laugh about how absurd life can be.
