Great to meet you!

I am Courtney--Black Woman. Jamaican American. Mom. Social Worker. Therapist. Educator. I am a New Jersey based, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and owner of Black Women’s Wellness Co. The therapist for Black Women. I focus my energy on educating the Black Community on mental health and wellness. It drives the work I do to be able to support our growth and healing.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Sessions are fluid. Meeting you where you are, means I adapt to your style. Homework is a thing, but it's less about having a blanketed type of homework and more about going off of what you need. It's me listening to you and reflecting on what I am hearing, seeing, noticing and using that to support your self-awareness and introspection.

What you can expect from our first session

I work with Black Women who are goal-driven, high-functioning, over-thinkers, who may struggle with people-pleasing, boundary setting and sometimes saying 'no'. I help women to identify emotions, cope and move with them. There's more, but the character count doesn't support 'all of the things' Black Women could use support with and I'm here for it.

Courtney's style is

Energetic
Solution-oriented
Holistic
