Great to meet you!

I’m Courtney Walker, an independently licensed marriage and family therapist. I have been in the field for five years, and have experience with children 5+, teens, young adults and adults. I have served court systems doing assessments for drug court, probation reports and ILC assessments. I have also been a school based therapist at a trauma informed credit recovery charter school. I have extensive training in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, certifications in EMDR and MBSR.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I take a very inquisitive, non judgmental approach while building rapport, then move towards person centered, strategic and trauma informed styles of care. I am certified in EMDR. MBSR, TF-CBT and also have experience and knowledge with holistic therapy and DBT approaches.

What you can expect from our first session

My biggest goal is the smallest improvements. It takes little steps to make leaps, and if we can make a 1% improvement in your thoughts and behaviors, over time that can be a mountain of growth.
