Great to meet you!

Sometimes you can look like you have it all together and still feel like something isn't quite right. Maybe you're successful in your career, relationships, or other areas of your life, but you're also anxious, hard on yourself, disconnected from your body, or struggling to feel present and enjoy things as much as you used to.

Hi, I'm Courtney, a psychologist in San Diego, and I'd love to work with you.

What I offer:

  • Walk-and-talk therapy around Mission Bay, Bird Rock, and Pacific Beach in San Diego
  • Virtual therapy throughout California

What I help with:

  • Anxiety & depression
  • Disordered eating & body image
  • Sexual health concerns, including painful sex, sexual anxiety, desire differences, and low libido
  • Relationship concerns, including breakups, communication, and friendships
  • Life transitions & self-esteem

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is most helpful when it feels warm, collaborative, and tailored to you. I tend to use a lot of open-ended questions and work best with clients who appreciate honest, direct feedback. I don't tend to give worksheets to complete, but I may ask you to track certain thoughts, practice something between sessions, or try a behavioral exposure when it fits with what we're working on.

My role isn't to simply agree with everything you say or offer blind support. I want to help you look at things from different perspectives, challenge patterns that may not be serving you, and understand yourself a little more deeply. I'll support you while also gently pushing you when I think it could be helpful.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we'll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you hope will change, and what you're looking for in a therapist. You're welcome to ask questions and share what matters most to you.

We'll start at your pace and see whether working together feels like a good fit.

All first sessions are conducted virtually. If you're interested in walk-and-talk therapy, we'll use our first session to make sure it's a good fit for your physical and emotional needs before getting started outside.

If you're ready to take the next step, reach out to schedule your first session.
