Great to meet you!

I am eager to find a suitable time for us to meet! To give you a bit of background about myself, I relocated to Las Vegas in 2001 to serve as a case manager for the state of Nevada, assisting individuals with intellectual, physical, and mental disabilities. In 2010, I earned my Master’s degree in the Science of Counseling, focusing on Marriage, Family, and Children therapy. Since then, I have engaged with a diverse range of clients, whose ages span from 4 to 99. From 2010 onward, I have worked as a Marriage and Family Therapist in both Nevada and New York. (I did take a break to work in manufacturing paper towels for a couple of years, which taught me a great deal!) I possess a broad perspective, and I am no longer easily surprised!

A bit about my approach to therapy

I take a confident and eclectic approach to therapy, utilizing a range of evidence-based techniques. I integrate person-centered therapy, solution-focused family therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed practices. I emphasize the importance of strengthening our parasympathetic nervous system to effectively reduce stress, anxiety, and anger. Our bodies and brains are inherently connected; when we calm one, the other naturally follows. My goal is to seamlessly connect your body's "feelings" with your brain's "feelings." With a wealth of diverse experiences, I hold a broad perspective and approach each situation with assurance and insight.

What you can expect from our first session

I provide a warm and welcoming environment where my clients can share their thoughts and feelings without judgment. I understand how overwhelming negative thoughts and emotions can be, and my goal is to support you in finding greater positivity and stability in your life. Together, we can work on helping you communicate more openly, both with yourself and the world around you. By reshaping the way you see yourself and your surroundings, we can make meaningful changes to enhance your mood and overall quality of life. You are not alone in this journey; I am here to help you every step of the way.
