Great to meet you!

Hi there! I am always learning, and I don’t have all the answers, but it is a profound privilege to help you establish a safe, empowering baseline for your care. As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Washington, I have been a practicing therapist for over four years and a social worker for many years beyond that. I work with folks of all ages but primarily focus my work on people ages 11 to 45. I have extensive experience working with people with diagnoses of Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Autism, and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. I also have extensive experience working with people grappling with grief, identity, executive functioning, addiction, PTSD, and relationship issues. Earning your trust is an honor I hold deeply, and I am fiercely committed to providing affirming support for the LGBTQIA+ community and anyone navigating complex life transitions.

My approach to therapy

I believe that genuine emotional growth happens when we balance clinical expertise with a deeply human, authentic connection. My three strongest values in regard to my therapy approach are compassion, no judgement, and client agency. I believe so strongly that the therapy space belongs to you while you’re in it, and it should therefore reflect what you need and want. I work very hard to make sure my therapy space is as comfortable and safe for you as possible. That looks like different things for different people, but that is something we can figure out together! I pull from research-based therapy modalities, but don’t necessarily pull from just one. My therapy is informed by, but not determined by, modalities like Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, and EMDR, allowing us to outline tangible goals that translate into meaningful progress. At the end of the day, I believe that therapy is about creating a compassionate and judgement-free relationship. So while evidence-based practices are important to me, nothing is more important than making sure you know that I am someone in your corner and rooting for you.

What you can expect from me

I strive to cultivate a calm, welcoming refuge where you can step away from daily stress right from the start. I know firsthand how hard it is to find a therapist that matches what your needs and preferences are. From the moment we start working together, I want to work to figure out how to make sure our work together feels right and addresses your client-centered goals. In a first session, this looks like getting to know what brings you to therapy—exploring "why here and why now?"—and getting to know you as a person. We will gently explore your history and symptoms at a natural, comfortable pace without any pressure to have everything figured out at once. My priority is ensuring you feel completely heard and supported as we collaboratively design a roadmap for your healing.
