Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment, pressure, or the expectation that you have everything figured out. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of North Florida and have experience supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the overwhelming moments when life simply feels like too much. I’m especially passionate about working with individuals who have spent so much of their lives taking care of others, holding everything together, or simply surviving and are ready to create space for themselves.

My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I primarily work from an Internal Family Systems (IFS) and trauma-informed perspective while incorporating evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and somatic grounding based on your individual needs.

I don’t believe therapy is about “fixing” you. Instead, we’ll work together to understand your experiences, recognize patterns with curiosity rather than judgment, build practical tools, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have gotten lost along the way. My hope is that our sessions feel like a place where you can exhale, feel genuinely heard, and know that you don’t have to navigate everything alone.

My approach to therapy

Therapy with me is conversational, compassionate, and centered around creating a space where you can be fully yourself. You don’t have to come into each session knowing exactly what you want to talk about or having the “right” words for what you’re feeling. We can start wherever you are.

I believe there is often a reason behind the ways we cope, react, protect ourselves, or get stuck in certain patterns. Instead of judging those parts of you, I approach them with curiosity and compassion. Together, we’ll slow things down, make connections between your experiences and how they may be showing up in your life today, and work toward understanding what you need to feel more grounded and connected to yourself.

I’m not the kind of therapist who will simply sit back and nod. I’ll be present with you, ask thoughtful questions, offer another perspective when it may be helpful, and gently challenge you while respecting your pace. Some sessions may involve deeper reflection, while others may focus on practical coping skills or simply giving you space to process a difficult week.

Most importantly, I want therapy to feel human. There can be hard conversations, tears, laughter, quiet moments, and everything in between. My goal is for you to leave our work together feeling more understood, more confident in yourself, and better equipped to navigate whatever life brings.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is really about getting to know one another and helping you feel comfortable in the space. There’s no pressure to tell your whole story at once or dive into anything you’re not ready to talk about. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.

I’ll spend some time learning about what brought you to therapy, what life has been feeling like lately, and what you hope could be different. We’ll also talk about what you need from me as your therapist, because I believe therapy works best when it feels like a partnership rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

From there, we’ll begin identifying a few goals that feel meaningful and realistic for you. That might look like understanding yourself more deeply, learning how to manage overwhelming emotions, setting healthier boundaries, improving relationships, processing past experiences, or simply feeling more like yourself again.

Most of all, you can expect a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free environment. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you walk through the door. Just come as you are, and we’ll start there.
