Great to meet you!

I am a native of Chile, having lived in the USA for almost 30 years. I obtained my Masters in Counseling Psychology at Temple University in 2007 and I am bicultural and bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish. I have advanced training in Systemic Trauma Therapy at the IFIV institute in Spain, and I have completed Level 2 Internal Family Systems (IFS) as well as having been a Program Assistant a few times in trainings by the IFS Institute. IFS is a non-pathologizing, evident based, effective, and the most respectful and compassionate approach I have come across in all these almost 20 years of clinical practice; "All parts are welcome", is IFS's motto. All of you is welcome.

My approach to therapy

In addition to having a general practice focusing on trauma, attachment wounds, depression, anxiety, existential angst, life transitions, intimacy challenges, and managing stress, I can guide individuals and families through parenting education, attachment disruption (adoption- foster care -blended families, etc.), and co-existing with developmental conditions like ADHD and ASD. I am also knowledgeable about immigration and acculturation challenges and the experience of marginalized populations.

What you can expect from me

I am here to listen deeply, only then offer companionships and guidance for you to tap into your own inner wisdom; A good friend of mine says that healing is the act of learning to love the parts of you that are hurting.

By the end of our first session, you and I will know if we connect, if my nervous system calms yours, if my mind reflects accurately your experience and if your parts would trust me enough for you to come back again.
