Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Cristina Reynolds, LPC. I specialize in working with older teens, young adults, and adults in their 30s who are navigating trauma, anxiety, life stressors, and the experiences that can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from ourselves.

I believe everyone deserves a place where they can unpack their emotions, process what life has brought their way, and feel understood without judgment. I’m passionate about creating that space for my clients while also offering an outside perspective to help you recognize patterns, challenges, or obstacles that may be difficult to see on your own.

My hope is that, over time, you feel more confident navigating the hard moments, relationships, and everyday challenges that life brings your way.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should happen at your pace and be tailored to what you need. I don’t believe there is one approach that works for everyone, which is why I like to incorporate different tools and modalities depending on what feels most helpful for you.

I offer creative and experiential options, such as sandtray therapy, which can provide a way to explore emotions, experiences, and underlying thoughts that may be difficult to put into words. I also offer EMDR therapy as a more direct approach to processing difficult or traumatic experiences and addressing the underlying experiences that may be contributing to current symptoms.

What makes my approach unique is the way I like to interweave these modalities. We can make space to approach and process difficult life experiences while also developing tangible strategies for the day to day challenges you are facing right now.

I want therapy to be a place where you can do the deeper work without feeling like you have to live in it every day. My goal is for you to leave the office feeling that the deeper work is safely held for our next session, while also feeling empowered to take meaningful steps toward the goals we identify together.

What you can expect from me

Our first few sessions are about getting to know you, understanding what brought you to therapy, and figuring out what you would like to accomplish together.

We’ll explore the experiences that have shaped who you are, identify the areas of your life you would like to work on, and begin creating an outline of the goals you would like to focus on during our time together.

You can also expect me to explain the different tools and approaches I use. If you’re curious about EMDR or sandtray therapy, I’ll take the time to answer your questions and explain how they work and how they may fit into your therapy.

Most importantly, you don’t have to walk into your first session knowing exactly what you need or where to start. We can figure that out together. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and like you have a clearer sense of where we can go from there.
