Great to meet you!

Finding the right therapist is an important step, and I know it can feel a little intimidating. My hope is that by learning a little about me, you will feel more comfortable before we meet for the first time. I earned my Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) from Albizu University in Miami, Fl and have been working for over 9 years in the mental health field. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals facing a wide range of emotional and life challenges in hospitals, inpatient facilities, and private practice. I specialize in helping adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, trauma, eating disorders, grief, perimenopause, and other health and women's mental health concerns.

My therapeutic style is personalized because I don't believe once approach fits all. I integrate evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness based interventions, and trauma informed techniques. Together, we will work together to identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck while developing practical skills you can use outside of our session.

My approach to therapy

Whether you're struggling with anxiety, healing from trauma, or adjusting to a major life transition, or feeling like you have lost yourself, therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity. My approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to earth. I believe that therapy should feel like a conversation with someone who truly listens, understands, and helps make sense of life's challenges. We will work together to find strategies that fit your life, your personality, and your goals.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will take time to get to know each other. My goal is to make you feel as comfortable and welcomed as possible. Will also talk a bit about your background, current challenges, and relevant history to better understand your experience. I will explain how I work as a therapist, answer any questions you have, and go over what ongoing sessions typically look like. We will begin the process of creating a collaborative plan moving forward. Together we will work towards building up your confidence so you can become the best version of yourself.
