Great to meet you!

I’m Cris, a licensed independent social worker with over 28 years of clinical experience offering a compassionate, collaborative approach to therapy. addressing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, life transitions, trauma recovery, age-related memory changes/dementia/talk therapy, grief, and loss. Over the years I learned that healing isn’t about ‘fixing’ people—it’s about helping them reconnect with their own strength, face challenges with courage, and create meaningful change in their lives.

My approach to therapy

I offer a compassionate, collaborative approach to therapy. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as CBT, Mindfulness, Humanistic and Person-Centered Therapy helping process life events and develop coping strategies for emotional resilience. I’ll meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to be. My role is to walk alongside you; my goal is to equip you with tools that empower you long after our sessions end.

What you can expect from me

The first session is primarily about getting to know each other and establishing a foundation for therapy, understanding goals, discussing confidentiality, and beginning to build a trusting therapeutic relationship. As I understand one might feel nervous or unsure about what to say, I make sure this session is designed to help you feel heard, respected, and comfortable.
