Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Crystal, and therapy with me isn’t about being perfect — it’s about being real. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you can breathe, be honest, and begin to heal. You don’t have to have it all figured out ,you just have to show up.

I’m a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California, where I specialized in Military Social Work. I’m passionate about helping people reduce stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm while learning to reconnect with themselves in healthy and meaningful ways.

I believe therapy works best when it feels like a true partnership. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and focused on your individual story. I draw from different methods to fit your unique needs and work from a whole-person perspective — caring for your mind, body, and spirit.

Over the years, I’ve worked with children, teens, adults, older adults, and veterans in settings such as foster care, hospice, home health, and outpatient clinics. Each experience has deepened my belief that healing is possible for everyone and that with the right support, you can find peace, confidence, and clarity again.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and deeply compassionate. I believe that healing begins in a space where you feel seen, heard, and understood without judgment. Every person’s story is unique, so I tailor each session to meet your individual needs, experiences, and goals.

I work from a person-centered perspective, which means I view you as the expert of your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, to help you uncover the patterns, beliefs, and emotions that may be holding you back, and to support you as you move toward growth, peace, and self-acceptance.

I often use Socratic questioning to gently challenge negative thought patterns and encourage deeper reflection and self-awareness. This process helps you connect the dots between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, so that lasting change feels both meaningful and attainable.

My approach also integrates elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques, but always within a holistic, whole-person framework that honors the connection between the mind, body, and spirit.

At the heart of my work is compassion for your journey, your resilience, and your capacity to grow. I believe therapy is not about “fixing” you, but about helping you reconnect with your strength, rediscover your voice, and learn tools that bring lasting relief and clarity.

What you can expect from me

Beginning therapy can feel both hopeful and a little intimidating and that’s completely normal. My goal from the very first session is to help you feel comfortable, understood, and supported as we start this journey together.

During our first meeting, I take time to get to know you and understand what brings you to therapy. We’ll begin with an initial evaluation, where I gather background information about your current concerns, personal history, and goals for therapy. This helps me develop a clear picture of what you’re experiencing and how we can best work together.

You can expect the session to feel collaborative and conversational, not clinical or rushed. I’ll ask thoughtful questions often using a Socratic, reflective style to help you explore what’s been happening in your life and what changes you hope to see. You’re welcome to share at your own pace; there’s no pressure to open up about everything right away.

By the end of our first session, we’ll identify a few initial goals and discuss what future sessions might look like. My focus is on creating a space that feels safe, genuine, and free of judgment, where you can begin to process what’s been weighing on you and start building tools for growth and healing.

Many clients say they leave the first session feeling heard, hopeful, and more at ease, knowing that they don’t have to face things alone anymore. My role is to walk beside you with compassion, curiosity, and care as we begin this meaningful work together.
