Dr. Hopkins received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from The University of Alabama in 2013. She holds two Masters degrees in nursing from Troy University and The University of Alabama at Birmingham . She is dually board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric/MH Nurse Practitioner by the ANCC. She is considered a subject matter expert in the field of psychiatric/mental health NP education.

Dr. Hopkins’ professional interests include treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and psychotic disorders in adults. She has an extensive history of treating substance use disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder. Dr. Hopkins loves working with clients, their family, and other mental health provider to improve the mental health and outcomes of her clients. She often uses cognitive behavioral therapy and supportive therapy techniques when evaluating and treating mental health issues.

Dr. Hopkins’ hobbies include spending time with her family, reading, and traveling. She has a passion for helping others and enjoys participating in community and civic activities, volunteering to help the less fortunate, and serving those in need.
